Mayor and Board of Aldermen

The Mayor and Board of Aldermen, elected by the voter of the City, set priorities for the city with the help of 15 citizen boards/committees, which are appointed by the Mayor with the consent of the Board.  The election for Municipal Officials is the first Tuesday of each April.  To be listed as a candidate on the ballot, individuals must file, in person, a Certificate of Candidacy with the Deputy City Clerk at Sunset Hills City Hall, 3939 S. Lindbergh Boulevard beginning on the seventeenth Tuesday prior to the election at 8 am.  Candidate filing is then open for the three weeks following that date each year. 

Led by a board-appointed City Administrator, the Sunset Hills city staff carry out the priorities set by the governing body.
