2003 - 2005 Minnie Ha Ha Improvement Project


GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENT

The City of Sunset Hills has opened Minnie Ha Ha Park, the park opened on July 9th, 2005 with a large reception. Minnie Ha Ha Park includes two (2) shelter areas, two (2) restrooms, one (1) canopy area, over a mile of asphalted walking trails and a scenic overlook on the Meramec River with a shelter. We hope to add new amenities each year including an additional picnic shelter, restrooms and more playground equipment.

Residents can obtain picnic shelter reservations for Minnie Ha Ha on January 5, 2006 for the upcoming year and non-residents can do so on January 17, 2006. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Parks & Recreation Office at (314) 842-7265.

Scenic Overlook

In the Fall of 2005, a Scenic Overlook was built on the Meramec River. Designed by Horner & Shifrin and constructed by Gershenson Construction, the structure incorporates the beauty of the surroundings and functions as one of the key features of Minnie Ha Ha Park.
