Employment Applications

The City of Sunset Hills Police Department accepts Police Officer applications (PDF) and Communications Officer (dispatcher) applications (PDF) at all times.

Application Process
  1. Download and print all pages of application packet for the position you desire this will contain associated information and a release. All applicants must also download the 11-page questionnaire (PDF) for submission with the application.
  2. Return the application packet containing the completed 11-page questionnaire with the signed cover sheet, signed authorization for release of Information sheet, and all required documents.
  3. Place above in a sealed large manila envelope and return in person or by U.S. postal service to:

  4. If openings exist and it has been determined that your qualifications meet our requirements for employment you may be contacted for an initial interview. If no openings exist at the time of your application, and it has been determined that your qualifications meet our requirements for employment, we will keep your application on file and contact you at the time a position for which you qualify becomes available.
