Native Gardening Through the Seasons Speaker: Betty Struckhoff, Master Gardener; speaker for the St. Louis Wild Ones and Native Landscaper’s Series. Native Gardens still need attention! “Low maintenance” is not the same as “No maintenance.” Whether at a school, community garden, or your own back yard, native gardens need attention throughout the year. This presentation will cover things to do (and not to do) in the fall, as well as maintenance tips for all seasons. We’ll discuss tweaking the design to minimize maintenance, identifying weeds, controlling invasive plants and dealing with aggressive natives. And we’ll touch on ideas for using your plants in holiday arrangements and activities. Join us to learn how to enjoy your garden through all the seasons!
